100% public profile

Hello.

How can I make the user profile pages 100% public?
I mean, this website is more of a professional directory than a social network, so all guests should be able to view everyone's profiles.

This support is for the test site 2015.iyengar.com.br
After it is finished, it will be installed in www.iyengar.com.br (my supported domain)

Thank you.

Hi, jonathan.

Profiles are public by default.
You just set profile page to Registered users only: i.imgur.com/ueesxmR.png
Change it to Public.
Do not use "Guest" as this will lock access for "Registered" users.

- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.

- Use the "Thank You" feature on any post that helped you

Hi Michal.

Many many thanks for answering me on a sunday!
If I could click on "Thank you" a hundred times in this answer, I certainly would.
Such a simple answer for such a unnecessarily complex problem.

I just wanted a "edit my profile" link on that top menu that would be visible only to registered users.
I never thought that just by setting the menu item to registered would lock my profiles.
Maybe that is something you should think about, either changing this menu behavior, or creating a "edit my profile" or "view my profile" menu item that could be used outside of the jomsocial bar, visible for registered members only.

I will solve that with CSS, as I have the "loggedout" and "loggedin" body classes I can use.

Cheers.
