ISSUE SUMMARY: Can't change the default cover image for groups and events


STEPS TO REPLICATE:
1 Put custom cover image here: ROOT/components/com_community/templates/custom_template/assets/images
2 Assign 'custom_template' as default jomsocial template
3 Create new group or event in front end

RESULT The default cover image is the original jomsocial image
EXPECTED RESULT cover image is our custom image

you did wrong way. please follow this steps:
documentation.jomsocial.com/wiki/Replacing_Default_Avatar

and delete custom_template from jomsocial template.

Hello Albertus,

We don't want to delete the custom template as we are making many styling changes. However the small print on the wiki page does mention that we can put those default avatars/covers in custom_template/images instead of custom_template/assets/images.

Hopefully this will help other people.

Also, you may want to consider identifying your wiki pages as to whether they pertain to jomsocial version 3 or version 4.
