Choose profile type first before register

Hi Jomsocial Team,
I use multi profile type and I have 5 profile types.
I so wonder is there a way to set rule (*) make register to choose one profile type before they can register.

to access my admin page and my control cpanel, please use my Misc information to access my admin.

Profile type is chosen during registration - not before. User should not be able to bypass profile choosing as this they are listed as radio fields. Without choosing one profile type - user can't proceed in registration.

- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job

- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.

How about the register through sign in with Facebook. It seem user can register without select profile tpye, they can bypass it well.

Please, make safe copy of those files:

ROOT/components/com_community/assets/release/js/bundle.js
ROOT/components/com_community/assets/source/js/popups/fbc.update.js
ROOT/components/com_community/controllers/connect.php
ROOT/language/en-GB/en-GB.com_community.ini

Then replace original with patched files from package. Just upload content to main Joomla! folder.

Then clean browser cache and refresh your site.

I don't know myself should I create a new ticket or not but I want connect this problem with my subject.
- After I fellow your instruction, the user sign up with facebook can't bypass the multiple profile. They need to select one.

* Your process sign in with facebook
- Sign in with facebook
- Type : username
- Forget to select the profile type
- Click next
The result (Pup up the dialog box to us and they suggest us to click back and then they need select the profile type to continuous)

* My suggestion sign in with facebook
- Sign in with facebook
- Type : username
- Forget to select the profile type
- Click next
The result (Pup up the dialog box with profile type lists so the users can select here, they don't need to click back to select the profile type at the page sign in with facebook that they miss on that time.) I think my suggest can make the user easy to register so user the user don't need click next and back over and over again.


+ I found a new bug at sign in facebook
The user sign up with facebook, they can bypass the Customize Profile and they can login successful even though some information at the Customize Profile are Required.



Login with admin and cpanel, please use my Misc Information and I updated it at my first post.

I'm afraid it can't be done as profile types to select are part of registration process.. one of it steps (pages). So they can't be displayed in notification as notification is just an alert. it's not part of the registration process. So the only option is to step back and do corrections.

As for a "bug" you reported. Facebook users just choose profile types and available data is transferred from FB to profile fields. It's obvious that some fields have no equivalent in FB... so must be skipped as there is no data to fill them.

Facebook registration/login suppose to be a quick alternative to registration. Without filling all the forms and confirming account. So users registered via FB must edit their profile to fill empty fields. There are plugins that force users to do that... if you want to use them.

And use constants that shows up. Use as text: "Feature".
