problem with the language files

ISSUE SUMMARY:
i wanted to replace the word GROUPES (in french) by (competences). i have the french language files installed. i went to the cpanel, and open the community fr-fr , do the following instructions but at the end the site trurn to the english language

STEPS TO REPLICATE:
1 cpanel
2 djiongoclasses
3 language
4 fr-fr
5 fr-fr.com_community.ini
edit
changing all groupe word to competence
RESULT
EXPECTED RESULT
BROWSER

Hi.

This means you damaged your language files.
You should NOT edit language file but rather use language override Joomla! feature:
documentation.jomsocial.com/wiki/Changin...gle_Sentence_or_Word

Now just roll back your changes.

- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.

i want to konow the difference between word sentence and wording

if it is the word in color, it will mean that it is the word i have change
