ISSUE SUMMARY:

The site has launched and I am asking users to invite others and become friends.

However, if they message others, eg when they are looking at a map markers or have done an advanced search and have user details displayed, they have to wait 60 seconds between messages.

I need to reduce this so they can send several fairly quickly.

Thanks

Joel

Hi Joel,

do you mean notification message on they email? or Jomsocial inbox?
if notification message, you need to wait cron job process. 60 seconds is the safe way to prevent any conflict during cronjob process.
and for jomsocial inbox the message always sent immediately.

please elaborate more if I missing something.

Hi Albertus - sorry for taking so long to get back to you.

When a user views a profile of another user they have the option to send a message.

When they send a message to one person they then have to wait 60 seconds before they can send another message. Can this time be reduced to 15 seconds.

(I am trying to build the network and am asking users to contact others . Waiting for 60 seconds is a long time in between messaging people from the site)

Thanks

Joel

Hi,
Would it be safe to create an override for this so that we don't have to do it each time we up update Jomsocial ?

Here:
public_html/templates/socialize/html/com_community/

thanks
Joel.

override only for template files. for default.ini file is part of core file and there is no way to using override.
you can put feature request at here:
