at main menu you put profile page instead of jomsocial home. I fix it for you already.
and if you see there is a introduction text rightnow, that from introduction module. you can manage it from joomla menu manager.

Thanks but, now when a member logins in that front page text is displaying rather than their profile. See attached.

You can try logging into to sme.city using my test member account.
