We have an application where we are using Quick2Cart from Techjoomla to be able to allow purchases with points! I read that this is possible But we need to know how to get exactly what we are looking for...

This site is an internal site for Employee rewards, and the employees are rewarded with points.
The Points are not to be awarded via activity but rather put on an employee account by a Hr manager - the Employee can then use the points to purchase from the Quick2Cart Store

How can we set things up to allow a Manager to award jomsocial point to any specific employees account or accounts?

How do we display to the Employee / user the amount of points they have on their account profile?

We have purchased support and component from Jomscial a few times before and never really got much value out of it - I am hoping things will be much different now

Hi, Chris.

I could only say that it's possible (as this is Pre_Sale question) :D It's possible to disable points for activities and add them manually to certain profile. By default points are displayed as icons (karma) but this could be changed to number and displayed on e.g user profile header (cover).

- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.

I have AGAIN updated my subscription - May I please have detailed and concise instructions on how to do this please ASAP

Hi, Chris.

Sure, it's quite easy :)

1. Browse to Backend -> Components -> JomSocial -> Configuration -> User Points
2. Then set ALL rules to ZERO (don't disable them! As this will hide activities on stream... what probably you don't want) prntscr.com/8d2cna
To be sure that you set all rules to 0, click scan button in upper right - additional rules will be found (if any) and added to list

Now to set user points manually:

1. Browse to Backend -> Components -> JomSocial -> Monitor -> Members
2. Edit certain member
3. On first tab set any points you want and click "Save & exit" : prntscr.com/8d2c7w

That
great thank you ... however a manger from the HR department will be responsible for adding points , Hence with an administrator or editor user profile can they administer adding points to a user from the front end.
It has to work that way please

Hi, Chris.

No, there is NO option to add it at frontend unless you create a custom script for this - but advising how to create such script is beyond our technical support
