Profile menu type isn't working

ISSUE SUMMARY:
I'm setting up a profile page so when users login they get redirected to their profile.
When I go to select the 'profile' menu type in Joomla!3 it automatically changes to the '-notifications' menu type.


STEPS TO REPLICATE:
1. Create a new menu item.
2. Name the menu.
3. Select menu type, click on 'community'.
4. Select 'Profile' and wait for the page to refresh.

RESULT: '-notifications' is shown in the menu type box
EXPECTED RESULT: 'Profile' to be shown in menu type box
BROWSER: Google chrome

It works - please, try it. It just displays wrong text in type field. This is known issue... a legacy from older version.
Soon it will be fixed.


- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.

- Use the "Thank You" feature on any post that helped you

Hi, Thanks for the reply.

I've gone to try it out but I've run into some problems.

Basically I'm using a test user to see how the login system works with joomsocial. I set the user up via Joomla's native user management system. I've created a page out of the 'front page' menu item. I've entered the test details into the login form. I've set up a redirect from the login page to go the profile page, but when i press the button to login I receive a message saying something like: 'you don't have the permissions to view this page'

I'd appreciate some insight into this.

Also, Is there any documentation on sucessfully setting up a login and logout process? I haven't been able to find it on the site.

Basically you should open a new thread as this issue is not related with original reported here... but lets continue.
I've tried to login here: staging1.kravmagasystems.com/index.php?o...unity&view=frontpage
Notification says that login was successful but still there is a login form.

I need to access your site backend but after I type in credentials, page just reloads.
It seems that you have overall login issue in your Joomla!.

Hi there, I have had my hosting site support fix the issue with the login.

I will open up a new post for this as requested.
