Hi,
I never used Jomsocial before but have however used joomla in many times in the last few year.
So I was hoping someone could point me out in the right direction to how I can achieve the following.
I am using Jomsocial integrate with JomHoliday.

1 - I would like to know how I could limit one user from contacting another user before that has been a booking/transaction between the 2 users.
2- Is it something I would do with user point, karma or any other option?

Thanks

Hi, Sarah.

Not sure what contact you want to limit. I guess you mean the number of private messages user can send to other users?
You can set limit here: Backend -> Components -> JomSocial ->Configuration -> Daily Limits

- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.

Hi Michal,
Sorry, yes I meant the private messages.
Is there a way to only allow users to send private messages to each other if an specif action has happened on the website?
(For example made a booking through JomHoliday)

Thanks again

Hi, Sarah.

JomSocial is an Open Source so nearly everything is possible... if you find a developer skilled enough to implement such a feature. So I advise to hire a professional developer.

Hi, how would I go about assigning user point for actions the user does on another extension?
Obviously this action and extension is not listed in JomSocial. Is it plugin based? I mean is there a tutorial to integrate user points to third party extensions?

Thanks

Hi, Sarah.

Please, always open NEW thread for your NEW issue or request. Your last question is irrelevant to thread subject.

You'll need to develop additional plugin: documentation.jomsocial.com/wiki/User_Points_System
