ISSUE SUMMARY:
When I am on the All Fiends page I can see 3 sumenu items: View All, Request sent and Pending my approval.

When I click on summenu 'Request sent' the 'View All' submenu is missing. The same with 'Pending my approval'.

Now I changed the code file components/views/friends/view.html.php (see attachment)
removed line 30 -> if($task != 'sent' && $task != 'pending' )
change url at line 40 -> $this->addSubmenuItem('index.php?option=com_invitex&view=resend', JText::_('COM_COMMUNITY_FRIENDS_REQUEST_SENT'));

Now i am using the component Invitex and so I added an extra joomsocial toolbar item for 'Request sent'. Now when I am clicking the menu item 'Request sent' is is going to Invitex, that is perfect. So now I have no problem with the 'View All' not showing, but still, when I was not using Invitex it is a bug I think.

Now I want to remove the submenu 'Pending my approval' and the only possible way is to disable line 41 in file components/views/friends/view.html.php. So maybe there is another solution not to change the code.

Ok, I see, this is for the issue of 'View All'. Maybe something to add in the menu item for configuration.

Can you look at the other issue, about Invitex links for Request Sent and removing the 'Pending My Approval' subment.

This is your customization... and it's a core hack. There is no way to remove "Pending My Approval" than core hack.

Please, be aware that core hacks are not recommended nor supported as they may not working with future JomSocial releases and/or cause issues that will be not supported. Users with core files hack refuse to upgrade their installation to keep those hacks and they are stuck with outdated and unsupported versions.

Invitex is a 3rd party extension for invitation. JomSocial has own invitation system. Using Invitex will replace it but will not hide related menu items in submenus (as they are coded in component core).

Maybe that's something that Invitex developers should also cover with their extension?

I have found the solution within Invitex plugin, redirect 'Request Sent' to the Invitex one. Also with css hide the submenu 'Pending My Approval'.
