I have wayy too many notifications going out to emails. Especially in my groups. People are getting annoyed by them and I'm not sure where to limit and control which ones go out. Really the only one I care about are replies from comments and new albums that are created in the groups I have. Everything else can be turned off.

I went under Configuration > Privacy and unchecked all the email boxes but they are still going out. Where else do I need to go to modify these settings?

Hi, Arthur.

Alo users may configure this settings in their profile privacy setting.
Try to reset those settings for all users. In Backend -> Components -> JomSocial -> Configuration -> Privacy under whole list at right is a button to rest user privacy settings. Please, try this.

- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.

- Use the "Thank You" feature on any post that helped you

What will that do exactly? If the default install has certain things in place already? And I don't want people to unsubscribe. I just need to limit what is being emailed.

So now that i set Default User Email & Notifications to send out NO emails, hitting reset for the user's Default User Privacy will make them all not have emails sent to them?

Hi, Arthur.

jomSocial come with default email & notification settings. They are all ON.
When you disable some of them - new settings will be used ONLY for new users. If you want it apply to all users, you need to reset users settings - so all of your users will have the same positions checked/unchecked as in backend settings.
