Search Members not working

ISSUE SUMMARY:
If I go to the Members oage and Search using the search box, it doesn't work.
Advanced Search does work.

I have put the link to that page in the misc information box attached.

Hi, Susan.

It seems that quick search will not work when you have direct link (a menu item that points directly) to all members. Disable "Members" menu item and call all members page by adding search/browse.html to your base URL ROOT/demo/search/browse.html then type e.g "Amanda" and search will work.

Not sure why this is happening so I'll report it as a bug to our developers.

I recommend a workaround: change direct pointing for Members to external URL using ROOT/demo/search/browse.html

This solution will not work as I understand it you can't control module display with an external URL.

Well, you can't with plain Joomla! com_module. But if you install Advanced Module Manager, then you may control module display even for certain URL (not only menu item ID).

extensions.joomla.org/extension/advanced-module-manager

Nevertheless I reported this bug so we'll provide JomSocial fix for it. I suggested only temporary workaround.

The only new worthy to mention is having a fix :)
There is no fix ready yet.
I'll update this thread when developers fix it.

Please, make safe copy of this file:
ROOT/components/com_community/templates/jomsocial/layouts/people.browse.php

Then replace original file with patched on from package.
