I am working on a new project and I would like to use joomsocial+socialize.

I need an extended profil functionality :


One user has many dogs. Do you think it could be possible to provide possibility to user to enter description for dogs informations in account profil with joomsocial ?

I need the user can set information for each dog as birth date, breed, etc... in a sepcific form

Somthin in the profil form as "add a dog" > then set up information for this dog and add a new dog if needed...

You may create as many fields you want but all of them will be in the same form (ergo in the same profile).
There is no option to add new form/tab on the fly.
So only option is to create separated profile for each dog or use many fields to enter them in one form.

Not sure what you mean. User = profile. There can't exist profile without user. or you mean that there are separated profiles (in fact separated users in Joomla!): one for owner and another for dog... and you want to link them somehow?

Please, describe in details what you want to achieve.

What I need :


One joomla user has one profil -> in this profil he can enter multiple dogs. Each dog entry has a lot of fields (age, breed, color, etc...)

In one profile you may have as many fields as you need in groups. So you may create groups like:

My dog 1
My dog 2
My dog 3

And in each group give the same fields.So you'll have:

My dog 1
- age
- breed
- color
My dog 2
- age
- breed
- color
My dog 3
- age
- breed
- color

Probably what you think of is a dynamic group field adding. So you create fields only once. So when user has one dog it will be enough to slick button "add dog" once. When user has two dogs then he click "add dog" twice and get two sets of the same fields. But this is currently NOT possible.

You may hire a professional developer who could implement such a feature to your system but it will be more likely a core hack. Core hacks are not recommended nor supported as they may not working with future JomSocial releases and/or cause issues that will be not supported. Users with core files hack refuse to upgrade their installation to keep those hacks and they are stuck with outdated and unsupported versions.
