Status not updating

Well it appears that updates *may* have stopped working around a month ago when I had updated to possibly 4.0.7. Admin Announcements appear to work, and 'likes' show up on the stream. It seems as if the status box and the stream are failing to work with each other...

I need to see in on your site to debug it.
Are you on localhost?

- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.

- Use the "Thank You" feature on any post that helped you

I am, but I actually have a live site too, ive been unable to update it in the settings since I bought a new subscription, which is suprising.
I can still give you the link however. The only thing that has recently changed is updating jomsocial through your extention. and of course joomla through it's updater.

there we go, just updated in the optional extras for you.

I have also been meaning to ask about the colours, using a colour scheme with socialize, some of the colours im unable to correct. Mainly this is viewable when you select the pulldown to see a message that you have received. Im thinking this could be a bug that's missed in the theme designer?

Thought id mention it just in case theres an issue with JS there too :)

please goto jomsocial backend > configuration > user points, please turn on activity state for Profile Status Update.

Hi thanks for that.. I would have never imagined turning off the points feature would prevent status being updated. Thanks for the help!
Would turning on any other activity states produce allow for more stream activity?
