Welcome the Technical Support section. Help us in assisting you by providing us with a concise and descriptive elaboration of your issues. Be specific and if possible, provide us with a step-by-step instruction in replicating your problem.
ISSUE SUMMARY: When a user clicks on the activation link in the e-mail, the landingpage (/index.php/your-profile/profile) allows them to change the name entered earlier in the registration.
I have managed to disable user name changes, but I can't seems to find the same for (real)names?!
Does anyone have a solution? Would be nice to solve this asap!
STEPS TO REPLICATE:
1 Register at any (?) site
2 Activate account via link in e-mail
3 Edit name (real name) in the form at landingpage

RESULT - Name is changed
EXPECTED RESULT - In my case. Wouldn't like it to do so.
BROWSER - Firefox & Chrome
- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.
- Use the "Thank You" feature on any post that helped you
This is not JomSocial related page but Joomla! account page:
prntscr.com/7gw3b5
Please, notice com_user in URL
At the moment Joomla! doesn't allow to lock user name edits. But it may be possible with a little hack.
Please, post on forum.joomla.org and ask for possible solution.
I remind that here we support only issues/requests related with JomSocial and other iJoomla products.
