I can't seem to find it anymore, but I saw somewhere in here that there is a way to not have all 3 application positions in "tabbed" format as it is now. If I wanted to make the sidebar bottom app position un-tabbed what would I need to do to do this? Thanks,

do you mean modules? if modules you can use the "stacked" positions

but for jomsocial the apps under profile page (about me, etc) that still using tabbed. the stacked positions will have at jomsocial 4.1

I was talking about the application positions not the module ones so I have to wait for a few more releases and then it will be available?in regards to this issue do you No if the user will be able to select tab or stack application positions?

I also have another issue with the groups in that some of the users get three duplicate emails for every discussion or group activity that takes place and others only get one.
what would cause that?

at version 4.1 application positions will have two options, as tabbed or stacked. please wait for the release.

about group duplicate emails issue, please try to turn off send email on page load at jomsocial backend > configuration > site.
if the issue still exist after that. please open new topic about it.
