ISSUE SUMMARY: I'd like to add members' country flags to their profile page.
Is there a way this can happen using the information they supply in their profile?
Is it an extension or plug-in? Can you recommend any?

ok, so you familiar with PHP code and know about joomla code.
you can override profile.about.php by copying it from /components/com_community/templates/jomsocial/layouts/ to /templates/[frontend tempalte]/html/com_community/layouts/
edit it at line 67, changing it from

<?php } else {  if ($item['type'] == 'country') echo '<img src="'. JURI::base().'images/country/'.strtolower($item['value']).".jpg' >"; ?>
