Dimas,
Good day. I would like to get this issue resolved as soon as possible as we are getting comments on this very thing. I am attaching a screen shot of what I would like the index, or home page to look like when someone goes to
www.madd-talent.com
. Nothing else should be shown. If this is a current zone, please tell me what zone would place the content of my choosing inside this red box. If it's not already a zone, can I create one and place it in this location. This could be multiple zones as well, as I believe are already in my JomSocial template. If I am correct about this, please just let me know.
Once that is resolved, I then need to hide all the comments that are currently showing up on this home page. You have already sent me some of the needed information on how to accomplish all of this, but I need more information please. I don't know how to run a query that you mentioned in this thread, so please tell me how to do that. Explain everything I need to do in order to get my index or home page looking like my attached screen shot as detailed as possible. I am sorry for the trouble, but I need this to look this way as soon as I can get it done.
Thanks,
David
Dimas,
I am attaching a screenshot of what I would like my index or home page to appear like when someone comes to my site. Please give me very precise and clear instructions on how to make it look like this. I saw your post on running a query to get rid of post, but the new posts that members are posting are still showing up on the home page. I just would like it to look like the screenshot attached with no post from the site, even after this is done. I don't want new posts showing up.
If this will work with the zones that come with my JomSocial template, that will be nice as I can place what I do want to show up in those zones just on the index page. If this is correct and it will work that way, please let me know. Finally, I am sorry to make this complicated for you, but please explain to me how to do all of this as detailed as you can as I don't know all this stuff like you pro's do.
Thanks,
David
Hi David,
Ok, Please provide me the phpmyadmin access or cpanel access, I will help you to run the query.
thank you
Dimas,
I am sorry, but I was not able to find the below thread. It may be under a different account of mine, but this is what you asked me for:

Regarding the red box I dont really understand it, please you explain more. Do you want additional information on that red box for guest (not logged user)?
thank you
Dimas,
I am sorry about that and don't understand why. I must have given you the wrong information and I am sorry for taking up all your time on this. I will check the info right now and then past the correct information right here for you. I just logged into my

Please cehck again... I alraedy deleted all status on stream
Diman,
Thank you for running that query and taking care of that, but when I look at the page, it still shows a bunch of post's. What I am trying to do is get the page to look like the following attachment. I am sorry to ask again. But we have already has comments sent to us telling us that because of our home or index page, they can't really tell what we are. So I want to add out own content to this area and get rid off all the member post completely and then not have them come back in the future. Is that possible? Can you please tell me how to do that?
but once you login you still can access the stream line right? or you wanna totally turn it off (even you already logged) ? please advise. so I can provide the pointer..
Dimas,
I think you just asked the right question. Yes, when you enter the URL:
www.madd-talent.com
, I don't want any post to show up. After the member logs in, yes, it can show whatever standard layout post JomSocial would normally show. That's fine, it's just the home page or landing page. Prior to anyone logging in, I don't wan them to see any post from members.
thanks,
David
hi david,
My query solution is only for delete all share status on your stream... you can run it via phpmyadmin
well, I will help to you achive
#1 make sure you set "Show Activity Stream" to members only from Jomsocial configuration->layout
#2 edit this file components/com_community/templates/jomsocial/layouts/frontpage/base.php ( I suggest you override this file ) , find this code :
<div><?php echo $userActivities; ?></div>
<?php } ?><div><?php echo $userActivities; ?></div>
<?php } else{ echo 'PUT YOUR CODE HERE/ARTICLE TEXT HERE';} ?>
Dimas,
I understand that running this query should hide all the post that have been made on my site, but it's not. You have run this query yourself and these post are still there. All I want is very simple. I just don't want ANY post showing up on my landing or home page prior to logging in. After they log in, they can see as many post, pictures, videos or anything else a member places. Just not while the site recognizes them as a visitor. There must be a way to turn off the post module, so I don't need to run this query on an hourly basis and prevent post from showing up for visitors and allow me place module's or articles or what I want below the landing page image and register and log in information.
Please tell me this can be done and tell me exactly how to do it. I had over 350 visitors on my just last night around 9pm and not one person signed up for a free social media site. I need to customize this landing page so that it looks like the image I sent you and similar to how facebook and twitter do it. Look at there landing pages. They don't show anything except site info and log in and register info. That is what I am trying to do.
Please help as I am losing visitors to the world instead of getting members and I am sure this is one of the main reason's.
Thanks,
David
Dimas,
Please forgive me. I just sat down to read all your post to me regarding this issue I am having and in one of the threads you told me to go set "Show Activity Stream" to "Members" I never saw that and just set that as you indicated and it's working perfectly now. All those post are now gone when a visitor comes to
www.madd-talent.com
. Again, I apologize that I kept asking when you did in fact tell me how to do this and what you told me to do worked perfectly. Now, to complete this I have to ask you one more question to get this exactly the way I want it. Now that the visitors can't see the post, how can I add a module or a article or just add content to this area below the home page default picture and log in and register information. The area directly below the Facebook Connect button?
Thanks,
David
