hi
we have another issue going:
ever since the last upgrade we see the components name showing on buttons and functions all over the template
(please see attached examples)
are we supposed to change the name in language files?
what is that and what is it doing it ?
thanks
Hi,
Your 3rd party language is not supported with newest Jomsocial yet, please you do update and compare with english version language/en-GB/en-GB.com_community.ini
thank you
Hi, Koderius.
This is caused by your outdated language file - it just doesn't contain language constants used in latest version. You need to update your language file... or add overrides for missing text:
documentation.jomsocial.com/wiki/Changin...gle_Sentence_or_Word
hi
i have an english language file from last update that i went through a LOT of pain translating .
like every picture has this :
COM_COMMUNITY_PROFILE_COVER_NAME
COM_COMMUNITY_PROFILE_COVER_NAME
COM_COMMUNITY_PHOTO_COUNT_SINGLE ‧ COM_COMMUNITY_PHOTO_HIT_SINGLE ‧ COM_COMMUNITY_PHOTO_COMMENT_MANY
i have searched the lang files for those consents for an ovverride but could find them!
please see it attached
and i still see the consents EVERYWHERE
what should i do ?
thanks
Hi, Koderius.
Do you look for them in English or in your current language? The are NOT present in your language file.
So you have TWO options:
1. Create language override for your language (don't search for constant as you'll not find them - just copy certain constant from frontend and add text.
2. Ask someone (in Community) to update language pack for your language.
hi thanks for fast replay
1: i have searched in BOTH (see attached hebrew one).
2:lets say i take the english lang file that is on the last jomsocial pack
how do i combine between the 2?
i have no problem translating .
but how would i know where to put each missing string\consent ?
thanks
Hi, Koderius.
If constants are missing in BOTH file then BOTH file need to be updated.
In you language file missing constants may be added at the file bottom, constants order doesn't matter.
hi
so lets say i want to translate this >
COM_COMMUNITY_SAVE_CHANGES_BUTTON
on this page >
beshnaim.co.il/index.php/2013-10-20-12-47-18/edit
i need to add a consent >
COM_COMMUNITY_SAVE_CHANGES_BUTTON="save changes"
to both files ?
is this the right syntax?
thanks
Hi, Koderius.
Yes, it's right syntax.
