Dear staff,
Currently in the activity stream, for streams which were posted several hours ago, they are shown as X hours ago X minutes ago. May I know how can I remove the 'X minutes ago' part?
Thanks

Best,
Patrick

Hi, Patrick.

By creating language overrides for constants:

COM_COMMUNITY_LAPSED_MINUTES
COM_COMMUNITY_LAPSED_MINUTE_MANY

Using Joomla! language override: documentation.jomsocial.com/wiki/Changin...gle_Sentence_or_Word

- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.

Hi Michal,
Here is my language file.

COM_COMMUNITY_LAPSED_HOUR="%1$s hour"
COM_COMMUNITY_LAPSED_HOUR_MANY="%1$s hours ago"
COM_COMMUNITY_LAPSED_MINUTE="%1$s minute ago"
COM_COMMUNITY_LAPSED_MINUTE_MANY="%1$s minutes ago"

I am not sure why for 2 hours 50 minutes, it is showing both hours and minutes?

Best,
Patrick

Hi, Patrick.

It's fine, just like it should be. Two constants are used: for hours and for minutes.
Want to get rid of minutes? Create blank override - just remove text from it.

Hi Michal,

The problem is that it shows
2 hours ago 50 minutes ago, not 2 hours 50 minutes ago.

Can you elaborate more on

?
Thanks.

Hi, Patrick.

All you need it to create new overrides - just like in documentation. Edit text of override so it will fit your needs. It's displayed "2 hours ago 50 minutes ago"? Then create override: COM_COMMUNITY_LAPSED_HOUR_MANY="%1$s hours".

You want to get rid of minutes?

Then create overrides that look like this:
COM_COMMUNITY_LAPSED_MINUTES=""

Just remove text from them.

Hi Michal,
Using your method, if the posting time is 50 minutes, will it be shown as NULL in the time lapsed of the posts between 1-59 minutes?

Best,
Patrick

Hi, Patrick.

It should be COM_COMMUNITY_LAPSED_MINUTES="" (previous constants are for other stream - this one is for main activity stream.
It will just NOT display MINUTES.
Just try it - you'll not break anything. Trying and seeing for yourself is for thousand questions :)
