hi guys
i was wondering if the jomsocial search was able to also search keywords within joomla articles, other compnents etc, to bring up all types of results... seems silly to have two seperate search modules on the site.

can you advise on how to set this up so the search just searches everything on the site???

both of those extentions not only have a fee to download. but then hit you with additional subscriptions PER component or extention you wish to hook into them - A COMPLETE RIP OFF...

how come other platforms like wordpress etc have search built in that WORKS.

jomsocial would jump forward leaps and bounds if it included a search all search box in its offering - just saying.

well, Joomla is not like WP, Joomla is more complicated.. the only solution is by using 3rd party Jomsocial dont have any plan for creating all search function right now..

Instead we will hook into Joomla search that is available since version 3
Imagine, Joomla as do Wordpress, does have the search facility which will work site-wide.
But it come to the show late, with only recent updates of Joomla and not many components are updated to support it
