Video from Vimeo not playing in Activity Stream

ISSUE SUMMARY:
Links from Vimeo are not passing the link info along with the post on the activity stream. Whenever a user clicks on the link, it redirects to a blank http:/// page.

STEPS TO REPLICATE:
1 Login
2 Click on American Shokunin post in activity stream

RESULT
The linked title sends user to blank page http:/// (but parsed link takes user to vimeo site)

EXPECTED RESULT
Video should play in activity stream like it does for Youtube ( www.youtube.com/watch?v=NfdGGTb5_Ts )

Hi, Jared.

It seems to be your site specific issue as Vimeo videos show up properly on my test site and our Community.
I assign developer tot his thread.

- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.

- Use the "Thank You" feature on any post that helped you

I see what is going on. After the upgrade to 4.0.3 using the Video button works but posting the URL into the postbox directly still does not work.

Posting a Youtube URL directly into the postbox works but Vimeo does not. Why is that?

I have confirmed that this is also occurring with SoundCloud as well.

here the fix:
edit /components/com_community/libraries/parsers.php at line 114, change the code from

'url' => isset($res->url) ? $res->url : '',
to
'url' => isset($res->url) ? $res->url : $url,

please try to share new vimeo. existing video before this fix cannot be fixed, because the URL stored at DB already wrong.
