Where do location suggestions come from?

Can somebody tell me where these location suggestions come from?



I have a Google Places entry, but that one is not selectable. I'd like to post from my location.

Hi, Guid.

They come from Google, from exiting places - they will not show your flat address unless it was added to Google maps some time ago.

- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.

- Use the "Thank You" feature on any post that helped you

My location exists in Google, but just my neighbours are being shown in JomSocial :(

NO, you just searched your location in Google map. This way ANY address will be found. Take a look on your printscreen. Do you see Those icons there? The one with "Takko Holding" or " Sirries automobile"... or "Subway"? Those are locations I was talking about.

Not true. My company is listed. It is not just an address search. But if I search for Subway or some of those mentioned one I won't get an icon for my company. So now I know what to look for.
