Hi,
I've upgraded to Jomsocial 4.01. But now none of the Ajax elements work. When looking at the Javascript console I get the following errors.
Uncaught SyntaxError: Unexpected token ILLEGAL
www.foedies.com/:1128 Uncaught ReferenceError: joms is not defined
Hi Albertus,
I have Cloudflare running. I paused it for now and now the Ajax elements work. Can I fix this?
I can't imagine that you can't use CDN in combination with Jomsocial or a CDN. My site hosted on Siteground. Maybe that helps.
Regards.
Sander
Hi Sander,
this is complicated issue related with javascript compressing, by default jomsocial already using compressing javascirpt. but CDN or cloudflare compress it again.
Need much time for this. let see what can our developer do about this.

Hi,
I'm running into the same problem, but bow without Cloudflare. When trying to approve a friend request I also get this error:
loader.js:1 Uncaught SyntaxError: Unexpected token ILLEGAL
2pending-my-approval.html:941 Uncaught ReferenceError: joms is not defined
Hi Sander,
I found the issue. the loader.js is broken, dont know why.
http://[yoursite domain]/components/com_community/assets/release/js/loader.js
you can compare it with:
www.jomsocial.com/components/com_communi...release/js/loader.js
unzip this file:
Hi Albertus,
I've uploaded the new loader.js. Also changed the caching settings in Cloudflare to the bare minimum. The message box is showing now, but I'm getting new errors.

Hi Albertus,
My site is hosted with Siteground so I guess it runs on Apache.
Wat do you mean with custom URL rewrite? I'm using sh404sef, do you mean this? I've been using Jomsocial icw sh404sef for more then 5 years now. Never used to be a problem.
The issue is not just for foedies.com. I have multiple sites with Jomsocial, but they are all showing the same issues.
I'm wondering what the issue could be?
Regards,
Sander
Hi Sander.
yes the issue related with sh404sef. if you turn off this pluguin:
sh404sef - System plugin
the issue will be disappeared. not sure why sh404sef bring error message 403. I suggest you to asking sh4040sef support for more.
Regards
Hi Albertus,
The problem was indeed due to sh404sef. I had a basic version that comes with Siteground for free. I've updated the component to the full version and exluded the Community component. Now it works again. Weird thing is though that I have multiple sites with a similar setup and I don't have this issue there.
But it's fixed nevertheless.
Thanks!
Regards,
Sander
