Privacy settings seem to be ineffective

No matter which privacy setting I set fields to in "Edit Profile", they are still visible to all site members. I tried setting birthdate to "Only Me" and "Friends", but in each case, all site members can still see the content of that field. What do I need to do so the privacy settings each member chooses become effective?

Sorry, I tested with another admin, so that seems to have been the problem. Could he still see it because of his admin rights? A normal user could not see the birthdate after I set it to "Only Me". Problem solved!

Hi Stefanie,

Yes, that because you login as admin, admin can do everything include access your private info.. this issue wont available on regular user :)
