fetching url in status isn't working

STEPS TO REPRODUCE:

Login
copy and paste a link in the status update field

RESULT:
Fetching doesn't work, it's hanging. It's working in your demo but not at my site.

EXPECTED RESULT:
The url should be fetched in the status update field

OCCURS ON:

Joomla 3.3.6 + JomSocial 3 on Safari, chrome, firefox, IE

TEMPLATE:
Yootheme unity and Beez default

OPERATING SYSTEM:
Mac

I confirm your issue and assign developer to this thread.

Could you in meanwhile post a domain change request here: www.jomsocial.com/forum/billing-issues
We'll proceed with support but it seems that your supported domain: b2bcontact.nl redirects to: ondernemer24.nl
So in a fact your sites (main and dev) work in domain: ondernemer24.nl that should by your supported domain.

- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.

- Use the "Thank You" feature on any post that helped you

Hi Pedro,

here the error message:

curl_setopt(): CURLOPT_FOLLOWLOCATION cannot be activated when an open_basedir is set

you need to turned off Open basedir at php configuration, please contact your hosting support about how to do it.
