Profile fields repeat themselves in Edit Profile

We are experiencing an oddity where some of the fields in the Edit Profile page are repeated, while others are not. I thought this was a symptom of the Membership Pro software, but some fields that I have linked are not repeating and others are. What is interesting is in the radio button versions of the repetition, the repeated item isn't selected, but in the text box versions, the information is identical.

Thanks for the response. I turned off the JomSocial Integration in the Membership Pro Component, cleared out the cache just to be sure and it is still doing it.

I have been digging in further and I now strongly believe this is a Membership Pro problem. I did update their component recently (about the same time we noticed the issue.)

I found I was able to update information and it would be different for the same fields, which means the data is coming from two sources.

So, I dug around in the MySQL database and sure enough, one field is coming from Jom Social, the other is coming from Membership Pro.

My conclusion is that the Membership Pro update caused the error. So, I'm going to contact them to resolve the issue!

Thanks for your help.

On a side note, do you have a membership subscription add on you would recommend? I want something that plays well with JomSocial, and yet allows me to have restricted access for some Joomla content.

I completely removed Membership Pro. I have also deleted the duplicate entries in JomSocial. Upon further review, I found that a couple profiles had multiple entries under the same field ID with the database fields of JomSocial

I have also discovered that when I update my profile in JomSocial, it resets my joomla permissions, taking me off of SuperUser. This is a really big problem.

I have supplied the FTP information

Hi Gloria,

Once you removed the membership, please you re-setup all jomsocial, it can be the duplicate records from database from code membership.

I suggest you create clean joomla and jomsocial for this for testing it. Regarding membership I suggest you try JSPT www.readybytes.net/jomsocial-profile-type.html

thank you
