Unable to edit profile

Good day

Users are unable to edit their profiles. When clicking on 'Edit Profile' a very Basic HTML page is displayed:

I am not sure if this is related to mbstring, the settings are as follows:

[mbstring]
mbstring.language = all
mbstring.internal_encoding = UTF-8
mbstring.http_input = auto
mbstring.http_output = UTF-8
mbstring.encoding_translation = On
mbstring.detect_order = UTF-8
mbstring.substitute_character = none;
mbstring.func_overload = 0
mbstring.strict_encoding = Off

Hi.

Indeed it's issue with mbstring library:

Fatal error: Call to undefined function mb_substr()

This is rather server related issue. You may try few solutions:

But first contact with your hosting provider and ask for advice.

- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.
