Welcome the Technical Support section. Help us in assisting you by providing us with a concise and descriptive elaboration of your issues. Be specific and if possible, provide us with a step-by-step instruction in replicating your problem.
When the users on my jomsocial site are posting statusupdates, they are not shown to friends in the newsfeed.
However, when they post pictures they are shown in the feed.
We need to have the site showing all status updates by friends.
All settings are by default set to public.
You have any advice on why this is happening ?
Feel free to kindly take a look under the hood - i have provided you with the login and users for your team.
Please - if you make any alterations let us know first - as we have many plugins and custom setups for the site :)
Hmm, you're using outdated version of JomSocial 3.2.0.5. Current one is 3.2.1.5.
Latest version have some post box improvements like filters.
Would you mind to upgrade? If you don't want to do it on your live site, please, create a test/dev site.
Do you have any customizations in JomSocial template files? (due to outdated version I can't run maintenance tests).
- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.
- Use the "Thank You" feature on any post that helped you
All posts should show - 3.2.05 doesn't have filtering feature.
