Yes, I can access your FTP.. and I found this issue is valid bug in J3.3, in J2.5 this issue is working fine.

I am sorry this issue is not fixed yet, we are busy on Jomsocial version 4.. because all code will be changed there.

But if I get the hot fix, I will give you the patch then.
