Please help!
Hi,Chris.
You can change that sentence using Joomla! language override:
documentation.jomsocial.com/wiki/Changin...gle_Sentence_or_Word
You can add new fields in Backend -> Components -> JomSocial -> Profiles -> Customize profiles BUT entering URL will not make them display as active hyper links but just text. As for now JomSocial 3.2.1.5 doesn't allow to create active hyper links in profile. If you insist to have that feature you'll have to hack JomSocial core files with help of professional developer.
Be aware that core hacks are not recommended nor supported as they may not working with future JomSocial releases and/or cause issues that will be not supported. Users with core files hack refuse to upgrade their installation to keep those hacks and they are stuck with outdated and unsupported versions.
Regarding your second forum thread:
This will be not easy to achieve. Yes, Administrators could edit user profile changing some things like field values, avatar, profile cover. BUT they will be NOT able to UPLOAD photos to users albums or videos. They can't perform actions in the name of user. It's because such action is strictly associated with user related data (in this case albums). So when Administrator/Super User tries to upload photos will see only his/hers albums.
Changing that behavior again will require to edit core files... changing general rules to create exceptions.
I think it will be much easier to use 3rd party plugin that will just allow to log in as another user and perform actions just like him/her. You may try one of these extensions:
extensions.joomla.org/extensions/access-...uthentication-switch
And your last request:
Copy this file:
ROOT/components/com_community/templates/default/groups.viewmembers.php
to:
ROOT/templates/your-template/html/com_community (if you don't have "html" or "com_community" folders, feel free to create them)
Look for this code (lines 113-138):
<ul class="unstyled inline">
<?php if ($my->id != $member->id && $config->get('enablepm')): ?>
<li>
<i class="com-icon-mail-go"></i>
<a onclick="joms.messaging.loadComposeWindow(<?php echo $member->id; ?>)" href="javascript:void(0);">
<?php echo JText::_('COM_COMMUNITY_INBOX_SEND_MESSAGE'); ?>
</a>
</li>
<?php endif; ?>
<li>
<i class="com-icon-groups"></i>
<a href="<?php echo CRoute::_('index.php?option=com_community&view=friends&userid=' . $member->id); ?>">
<?php echo JText::sprintf((CStringHelper::isPlural($member->friendsCount)) ? 'COM_COMMUNITY_FRIENDS_COUNT_MANY' : 'COM_COMMUNITY_FRIENDS_COUNT', $member->friendsCount); ?>
</a>
</li>
<?php if (!$member->approved && ($isMine || $isAdmin || $isSuperAdmin )): ?>
<li id="groups-approve-<?php echo $member->id; ?>">
<i class="com-icon-tick"></i>
<a href="javascript:void(0);" onclick="jax.call('community', 'groups,ajaxApproveMember', '<?php echo $member->id; ?>', '<?php echo $groupid; ?>');">
<?php echo JText::_('COM_COMMUNITY_PENDING_ACTION_APPROVE'); ?>
</a>
</li>
<?php endif; ?>
</ul><ul class="unstyled inline">
<li><a href="<?php echo CRoute::_('index.php?option=com_community&view=profile&userid='.$member->id) ?>">Contact details</a></li>
<li><a href="<?php echo CRoute::_('index.php?option=com_community&view=photos&task=myphotos&userid='.$member->id) ?>">Photos</a></li>
<li><a href="<?php echo CRoute::_('index.php?option=com_community&view=videos&task=myvideos&userid='.$member->id) ?>">Videos</a></li>
</ul>
Your suggestions were followed but still no change?!
Here is the
cmptv.ca/index.php/en/cmp-advertising/my...iewmembers?groupid=1
and the cache has bee cleared since the change was made.
Attached is the file with changes made. This file as instructed was put into the template folder html/com_community.
Why is this not working? Something has been missed?
Thanks
Hi, Chris.
Your default template is "Yoo_streamline". So you should create override in that template. But it's not there:
prntscr.com/5f74ls
You created it in Protostar template but this is not your default template.
Copy my file here:
ROOT/templates/yoo_streamline/html/com_community/
