Hi there, how are you doing...?

When user perform a search using the quick search module, they don't get any results, it sends them to the advanced search interface...Then when performing the very same search in the advanced interface the search works...

How can I fix that...?

this is a bug, but here the fix:
1. open /modules/mod_community_quicksearch/tmpl/default.php
2. at line 10, changing the code from

<a class="btn btn-primary" href="javascript:void(0);" onclick="joms.jQuery('#cFormSearch').submit();"><?php echo JText::_('COM_COMMUNITY_SEARCH')?></a>

<input type="submit" name="submit" value="<?php echo JText::_('COM_COMMUNITY_SEARCH')?>" class="btn btn-primary" />

please check it, I fixed for you. there a conflict with Search menu item at user menu. I changing it to alias for Search (jomsocial toolbar).
