Imagine V sends a private message to X, Y, Z

Z replies to V, but does not want to include X and Y, as they do not need to receive the message - so it is boring for them

I am made a lot of suggestions on user voice.....and so I am unable to post this suggestion...

1) Maybe you can post this suggestion for me
2) Maybe you can suggest that it is silly to stop your users making suggestions because you need to listen to us. Our customers tell us what to tell you......
3) user voice shouldn't be the only way of making suggestions. A lot of users don't look there. Please give us another way of making suggestions! We want to help improve Jomsocial and we don't like the user voice system. One suggestion I made had 15 votes and no-one has said they will implement it! Jomsocial will get left behind if it isn't listening to users in a more dynamic way than this!

Just to add some info for the product manager:

It would ideal if you can choose 'Reply' or 'Reply All' to Private Messages, and also delete some of the users from receiving the reply, (ie you can choose some but not all of the original recipients). People really do not like getting more messages than they need......

eg Person X sends a Private Message to 8 people.
What is happening is that when people reply, some of them think they are replying to just X. (1) so we have had people a bit upset that their message went back to all 8 others, when they didn't notice that it would. (2) But it is not that it necessarily matters for the other people to see the reply from a privacy point of view, more that that the other people don't NEED to see it. But the other 8 people are then forced to see all 8 replies. They don't want their email inbox filled up with 8 notifications. I think this is quite basic functionality that should be improved.

And......the notification email says 'new private message', and does not give the title of the private message in the Subject box. So if 8 people all reply to the original sender, each time the other 8 people all get a notification of a 'new private message'. Because they can't see the title they don't know which message the notification relates to, and it annoys them that they open it and it isn't really a message for them.......

Also, the notification of the 'Private Message Reply to original Sender' cannot be selected separately in notifications.......which doesn't help this situation.

(we also have a bug that the title doesn't come through in the email text either, but that might be our template, and we will investigate)

Is this planned in the next release? It is really needed.

until now will still not decided yet about this feature. all new feature request must going to user voice and our product manager will handle it.
