JomSocial Expired

When a user registers on our site, the transition between page 2 (where user fills in the profile details) and page 3 (uploading a profile picture) of the registration process is extremely slow (up to 50 seconds).

The site itself is optimised and a user login loads with about 12 seconds.
This is the only part of the site which is so noticeably slow.

We not not use captcha and do not require users to activate their accounts (no email verification)

Any ideas of where we can start looking?

Hi, Marc.

I enabled site debugging mode and after analysis it seems that this is caused by PayPlans extensions. Here are some printscreens that you can compare:

- this is taken from page where user confirms free subscription: prntscr.com/52jp2f
- this one is from profile fields page: prntscr.com/52jp6p
- and this one from avatar upload page:
prntscr.com/52jpc8
prntscr.com/52jph1
prntscr.com/52jpim
prntscr.com/52jpm1
prntscr.com/52jpnk

Database queries total: 37290.3 ms

This process loads very long:

Time: 37383.7 ms / 38422.7 ms Memory: 15.280 MB / 42.81 MB Application: Payplans-App-Before-Load-Apps

Also you can see how many processes are created by PayPlans.

If you want to enable debug mode by yourself, you can do that here: Backend -> System -> Global configuration -> System -> Debug System -> YES

I advice you to contact with PayPlans developers.

- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.

- Use the "Thank You" feature on any post that helped you
