When someone receives a notification email telling them about an event and they click on the link they see the Event Page (which is great). Then when they want to Respond they often need to login. After they login they land on the Home Page and not the event page. Is there a way of them returning to the Event page after login?

Also, if we click on the link in the notification of a discussion, private message etc we would like to like to go to that page after login as well.

Please can you tell us how to do this?

Found it in Redirect plugin

Actually, we think there is a bug! We were very happy to turn on 'Redirect back to previous page'.....but now we have had to turn it off again.

That is good for Events. e.g. if user is not logged in. They receive an email with an Event link, and they click on the link, the Event Page opens. When they want to respond the are asked to sign in. After signing in they are still on the Event page = GOOD

When someone clicks on a link in a email notifying you of a discussion or private message we want them to sign in and then see the Home Page (ours is called Community).

We have chosen the Option 'after logout go to the Community Page' (our Jomsocial Home Page)

However, now if you click on a link in a email notifying you of a discussion or private message it takes you straight to the sign in screen. You sign in, but instead of going onto the Community Page you are redirected to the Logout page.

- Should it open the Community page when you click on the link in the email?
-Surely after logout it should leave you on the Community page with these settings?

The redirect after Logout is not working and taking you to Community, which means after Login you can't be redirected back to the Community page.

What is happening please?
