When I try to register a new member through the Jomsocial registration process it doesn't work. You can try to register using this page:

www.ffatest.se/component/community/register

It will just tell you to login when you haven't even registered.

1. You don't have JomSocial homepage menu item
2. You disabled JomSocial toolbar menu items what could cause redirection and URL issues... generally speaking you misconfigured menu for JomSocial.

I fixed so that I now have the Jomsocial menu published. The registration process now works and most links looks good.

But a few links doesn't work so well. Not all but a few videos get these kinds of links:

Instead of a correct video link which is:

A similar thing happens for groups and profiles.

Group link that does work: www.ffatest.se/community/groups/viewgroup/12-fotokedjan

What could be the problem that is causing this? Shouldn't the links build from the Jomsocial menu?

You havent fixed that issue. JomSocial MUST have home menu item... it don't have to be displayed anywhere.
So you may create hidden menu - menu that is not displayed on site - not assigned to any module. And create there a JomSocial home menu item.

Have you looked at the admin part of my test site? I have published the entire Jomsocial menu with the Jomsocial home menu item. But it is hidden and not being shown on the front-end.

JomSocial home/frontpage menu item CAN"T be placed in JomSocial toolbar.
If you don't want to display it - create a hidden menu - menu that is not assigned to any module, thus not displayed on site.
Then move JomSocial home menu item to it and publish it.

I've done that now but I still have problems with the links.

The strange thing is that some video links and group links are fine and some aren't.

Registration link doesn't work because it has fixed registration URL.Do a test - disable SEF for a while, reload page, ans hover over register button. Link will remain SEF when all other links will be non SEF. You set fixed URL for registration in Template -> Features -> Register URL

As for videos link this is EXTREMELY strange. You created properly frontpage menu item for JomSocial and you can see in Photos that menu item ID is assigned properly.... but for some reason not for videos... and videos only :/ Something must affect that. Strange thing is that at the end if video URL is used menu alias item ID = 1578 ... and it shouldn't. Even if I disable that menu item...item ID is still displayed...

Yes I know that about the register link. I can take care of that so that isn't a problem anymore.

The problem now is the video and group links. Where some links work and some doesn't.

You are using alias menu type for each menus, thats why the URLs are broken, if you want set to Jomsocial page please you changes the alias menu and set it to Jomsocial page.

After working together with Dimas, we came to conclusion that lack of menu item ALIAS causes your issue. When you created menu item aliases you haven't typed in menu item title alias so Joomla! by default entered date. You can see it in field ALIAS just under menu title.

So edit ALL your menu items that are menu aliases and type in something related with title e.g for Sok VIdeos type sok-videos and save. This should solve your issue.

I see. But shouldn't Jomsocial use the original menu item to build the link and not the alias?

Just my personal suggestion, I suggest you minimalize the alias menu, because when you don't set it correctly it make our library CRoute error / confused to check the correct jomsocial itemID, please you use normal issue directly to Jomsocial menu pages.
