Hi, Andrew.

"Lock profile" feature does allow to change field values. This feature just lock PROFILE and doesn't allow PROFILE changes. For instance you have two multiprofiles: "Profile 1" and "Profile 2" so if user registers with "Profile 1" it's permanent and can't ever change to "Profile 2"

If you want to forbid users to change values in fields mark fields , while editing it in Customize Profile, as "read only". It will work ONLY for textbox and textarea.

- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.

Ah yes, that makes more sense, but therfore the wording is not very good English - should really say "Set No to allow users to change profile" rather than "Set No to allow users to update their profiles" as it does now. Two very different things!
