Joomla v3.3.4, JS v3.2.1.4
Custom profile field defined as a select type, see the attached file, one of the option contain single quote: "L'enfance"
if these value is choose by the user on his edit profile page, he's got an error on the save action.
Error is in relation with string: COM_COMMUNITY_PROFILE_NOT_SAVED. Even with \in front the single quote didn't solve the problem.

I just replicated it in my local, and this issue is not happening here..maybe this issue already solved in newest code, for time being please you remove the "single quote" on your option value.

Yes test on 3.2.1.4, the version 3.2.1.5 is under testing now, we will released it if that version is free with bugs

we've just upgraded to v3.2.1.5, and unfortunately we've got the same problem than before:
custom profile field with single quote can't be saved. Can be seen on our test live site; Login with user julien, password same as described for JSupport, see attached file showing the field changed.

I just tested in local and seems working fine, I am not sure why in your server is not working.

but I gave you the solution, I changed the single quote ' with this one `

do you mean you've installed our Db in your local server and it works ?
Strange because even in our local platform we've got the same issue.
OK your workaround seems working, we'll try it on the others custom profile fields.

this issue is becoming critical because we've got it in text area custom profile field, in fact whatever the type.
We can't ask to all our users to change the way they write french, change ' to `.
See below screen shots in relation with: for the address area, before saving and after saving.
We've duplicated this problem even on our local platform, whatever the JS version, v3.2.1.4 or v3.2.1.5.
We can't find anything wrong in our DB.

i try this over and over on our newest installation and works fine.

After I debug some cases, so I found the problem.. this issue caused by your server setting... for every request with single quote ', it will be removed automatically, even I use the core PHP code for getting the POST request $_POST

I suggest you contact your sysadmin for inspecting this further.

Yes, this is related with server configuration.. I suggest you contact your sysadmin, I am sure they able to inspect this further..

Just report to them, the single quote from any post will be removed automatically.
