Is there a way to simply turn off this message, rather than editing ini strings? The reason Id rather do that is that I don't want to have to keep track of string modifications (esp when it comes to upgrade / update time).

Hi Lynn,

Turn OFF "Welcome to Jomsocial" Message, do you mean the email with username and password?
you can do that at joomla backend > users manager > options > turn off send password.

Albert

Hi Albert,

No, Im talking about the message that appears after logging in to the user's activity stream page. My understanding is that this welcome text is buried in an ini file.

Best,

Lynn

Hi Lynn,

I need FTP and administrator access detail. because I need to inspecting it at your site first before I can provide the solution for you.
I need to do this because I can find "welcome" message at latest version of jomsocial.

Regards,
Albert
