Welcome the Technical Support section. Help us in assisting you by providing us with a concise and descriptive elaboration of your issues. Be specific and if possible, provide us with a step-by-step instruction in replicating your problem.
Hey guys ok so I'm not sure where to start with this one some thing is messing up in the Database, Users profile URLs are not corresponding to the actual profile, and now some times the profile picture shows up on some one else account.
I don't know how to start looking to see what is causing the problems. I know there is a customize your URL in each profile but people aren't going to choose another members name its a profession research network from the World Health Org.
what my client hass posted in the Help desk:
Compare the username in the URL with the actual user's name. They are almost always different. Is there a way to fix this?
Please, edit your first post and add MyPHPAdmin credentials.
- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.

So this is exactly entered in user profile. Number is certain user ID.
In a fact each user can be reached only using ID and a - sign. anything what is after - sign doesn't matter at all. So you can reach our user like this:
So something or someone or user changed their aliases. Changed aliases are stored in database and system displays what he have in db.
I see 3 solutions for that issue:
1. You'll ask your users to fix their aliases in Profile -> Preferences -> General
2. You fix aliases manually in database in table _community_users
3. Or you ask someone skilled to write a query or php code to recreate aliases in db automatically.
