Welcome the Technical Support section. Help us in assisting you by providing us with a concise and descriptive elaboration of your issues. Be specific and if possible, provide us with a step-by-step instruction in replicating your problem.
Hello!
I have Jomsocial 3.1.1 in a Joomla! 3.2.3 Stable envirorment.
When I turn on Joomla SEF upload images (covers, avatars, even photo share) stop working while all is OK with SEF turned off.
Can you help, please?
Please, upgrade to latest stable versions first: 3.2.1.4 and check if issue persist.
- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.
- Use the "Thank You" feature on any post that helped you
It may be tricky to go ahead with versions as unfortunatelly there are a lot of customiziations.
For what I read this should be a known problem... perhaps you can point me out something to work with with little effort!
:-)
Your post box is old, lacks of latest features...
That is why we don't recommend core files hacks... user are stuck with older versions and are not happy that they have to upgrade.
It's a bad idea to stay behind...
If fix was provided with hot fix release, then we don't provide separated fixes.
But you may try to change template to Joomla! default one and try again. This looks like js script conflict...
Then - if template change doesn't work - try to disable plugins, one by one...
But you may also create a test site and upgrade there - if you don't want to upgrade your live site now.
Just test it (and provide us access to test site) - and it it won't work after upgrade... then we'll take a deeper look on it.

You disabled frontpage menu item for JomSocial.
In order to work properly JomSocial needs a frontpage menu item published in any menu (except JomSocial toolbar). It don't have to be displayed but must be public and enabled.
Enable it tin TOP MENU and check if issue persist.
