Custom profile style

Hi,
Joomla v3.3.3, JS v3.2.1.4
We've defined a lot of profile custom fields, so when profile page is edited at the front-end, if user want to save only one or few groups of information, he must scroll down the page in order to click on the save button.
Is there a way to display the save button at the end of each custom profile group ? If so how can it be achieved ?

Another question concerning the field Style attribute, see the attached file, how is it working ?
Let's say if we want to set color:red for this custom profile field, how do we fill up the Style attribute ?
Is it color:red; or a custom class name then we set this custom class name in or custom.css with specific attributes ?
If you could provide an example it will be great !

Cheers,
L

Hi.

No, you can't do that. All fields create ONE form. A form MUST have ONLY ONE save button.

In style attribute you enter a style attributes eg. border: 1px solid red;

- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.

Hi,
concerning the attribute we've set color:red; see attached files, but doesn't get any effect.
Did we miss something ?

What do you mean by "A form MUST have ONLY ONE save button." ?
Does it mean it will be impossible, even if we ask a developer to handle the change, perhaps by defining several forms.

L

Hi.

All fields create ONE form. One form needs to have one submit button. If you'll have few forms on page and you click submit, you may have notice that other forms are empty.

It seems that style attributes doesn't work with select list. They work with text fields...
I'll report it to our developers.

EDIT:

Correction, it doesn't work with GENDER field.

Hi,
OK, so the workaround will be getting one form per field .
Do you think it can be easily developed ? in case we ask a specific development.

Hi.

I think that developers will be rather surprised by your request :) But still you may ask.
As for reported issue: styling for fields will be deprecated so any issues regarding this feature are not supported anymore - I'm sorry. In next release, this feature will be gone.

hi,
doesn't that mean it won't be possible to add any style for fields ? if so it's pity, also it will be useful to have several form for editing user profile.
