JomSocial Expired Socialize Expired

Hi There,

Firstly if I can say the subject heading doesn't fully explain the scenario and I have checked this issue I'm about to post with the 3rd party developer and he doesn't believe it's a bug in his extension (Geommunity3 for JS)

Basically any form of JS member / profile interaction seems to be opening both members profiles and socialize template just find within JS, however I have Geommunity3 for JS geolocation mapping extension installed on this page in question; Here... and if you for e.g. click one of the mapped markers, then click to enter in to that persons profile, I just get a screen with their profile and no template styling but don't understand at all why.

However, within JS if you're logged in as a member that is and you click any members profile from within, it seems to work as it should and as I'd expect the explanation above to, even though that doesn't;

This is what the developer of Geommunity3 for JS has mentioned to me when I asked him if it was anything to do with his extension;

"It seems to be opening the profile page with the protostar default Joomla template.
This is not a Geommunit3 bug, but sounds like a profile Itemid Misconfiguration.

where the menu Item for the set Itemid has that default template assigned to.
Hope ut helps."

Does the above mean anything to you guys upon looking in to my explanation of this issue outlined above?

I look forward to hearing from you in due course.

Regards,
Rob

Hi Robert,

I can see exactly what you are refering to and i think this is the isue

1. you have socialize assigned to your menus but you have prostar set as the default template
because of this is you access a menu item that is an "internal menu" like profile links or messages or similar items that aren't specified in a joomla menu then your site will revert back to the default template. In your case Prostar.

Unless there is a reason you have this set this way i would recommend you set Socialize as the default and see if the problem has gone away

JomSocial Expired Socialize Expired

Paul,

I don't even know how that's happened and the only thing thinking about it is sometimes I need to use my keyboard to see the very bottom of my joomla admin page due to some plugins I have for clearing cache with a single in page button and so on... so yup it was inadvertently my fault but thank you for being able to point it out to me, it was driving me crazy lol.

It's all good and back to normal now.

Regards,
Rob
