Welcome the Technical Support section. Help us in assisting you by providing us with a concise and descriptive elaboration of your issues. Be specific and if possible, provide us with a step-by-step instruction in replicating your problem.
My client's application requires pre-registering (loading) an existing population to Joomla/JomSocial. Loading wiht php and setting many profile fields is no problem. However, my client requires that, at initial load, many of the fields be set to only self-access. Even our system default of Friends is not acceptable. It seems that a new registration - on-line or from a program, sets everything to Public. Note that manual change is not acceptable - there are thousands of users to be loaded.
Is there a way to do this? How - I find no jml_community_ with this data. Can items be added to params in jml_community_users? If so, please tell me the syntax.
If not, I assume there is a database somewhere that contains the privacy information. Is it possible to access this and how do I do it.
Privacy is a necessity. We must be able to set it. My client will not use JomSocial unless it can be set up to follow their privacy policy. If there is no way you can guide me, is there any possibility of hiring someone to develop this for us?
Albert,
You miss my point. I do NOT want to hire someone. I DO want to know where you store the item privacy information for each user and what is the API to let me access it. Please give me a reference or document.
Please ignore this whole thread. I had a brain fart! The access is right there in jml_community fields_values. I loooked in jml_comuinity_users and then got mixed up. Sorry to have bothereed you.
