Hi, I would like to know how to add an upload progress bar for avatars and I want to know why you guys have not added this extremely important detail to jomsocial yet?? Right now if you click change avatar and choose a photo nothing happens and randomly the avatar appears after some time. USers get confused and don't know whether or not their avatar is actually uploading because there's no indication whatsoever.. This is a big deal.. please help with a workaround?

This feature will be added in nearest future release, so don't worry ;)
As for now there is no simple workaround for this as change involves core files hack and we don't provide such a hacks. There is no point of them if they could not work in some minor future releases. Also most users want to keep them, so they are stuck with outdated and unsupported versions. And blame us if we ask to upgrade and refuse to support old versions...
