Hi I am not sure if this is the correct forum but does anyone know how i can have a notification (icon on jomsocial menu) when i receive a new private message from my colleagues? or is there a module or component i need to install for this?

Thanks

Abu

Hi, Mike.

Browse to Backend -> Components -> JomSocial -> Configuration -> Privacy you'll a column with check boxes at right . Make sure that both check boxes are checked for New Private Messages .

Notifications are shown only in JomSocial Toolbar (internal menu), JomSocial toolbar module shipped with Socialize template (separated iJoomla product) , Notify module (shipped with JomSocial) and Hello Me module (shipped with JomSocial).
