When using private messaging and adding recipients, the search function is active immediately after typing the first letter. This makes adding recipients very slow and painfull.
For example, if i wanted to add a friend called Marc, I would type in M, wait for the recipients to update with every friend who has an M in the name, then type A and wait, then type R and wait etc
Can the ajax search call be set so that its only active from the 3rd letter entered?

you can do it by using override documentation.jomsocial.com/wiki/Customizing_Template .
1. copy ajax.showfriends.php from /components/com_community/templates/default/ to /templates/rt_oculus/html/com_community/ create the folder if not exist
2. edit that copied file, line 30:

Sorry....yes, that change does exactly what I want and makes finding friends for PM's much more usable and more functional.
