Hello Support,
I have the following settings on my configuration but any user can see any other user's wall posts, even if they are not in their friends group.

Profile Privacy Friends
Friends Privacy Self
Photos Privacy Friends
Video Privacy Friends
Group List Privacy Friends

How can I set the site to only allow access to people's walls if you are on their friend's list? This is obviously a BIG issue on privacy that needs sorting out.

Please advise.

Hi, Ronnie.

OK, but where is link to Community?

Also, please upgrade to current version of JomSocial -> 3.2.0.7.

- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.

- Use the "Thank You" feature on any post that helped you

Thanks Michal,
I have done the upgrade now - and I have added edited my original post to add the link to the community because I can't add it securely to this reply box.

The issue still remains on 3.2.0.7

Hi, Ronnie.

I can't replicate it on my site... but I can see it on yours. So this is site specific issue - not a bug ;)
Setting as fine...
I assign developer to this thread.

Hello Dimas,
Thanks for the response. I have done so and I have tried a number of things. Michal I am sure would have done the same thing but it does not work as it should and it leaks the information that should otherwise be private to the settings chosen by the user.

My Settings are:

Comment Editing YES
Only Friends can Write on Profile. YES
Only Friends can Comment on Videos YES
Only friend can Comment on Photos YES
Only Members can Write in Groups YES
Only Responders can Write in Events YES
Auto Refresh 3000
Interval Time to Check for Latest Status

Please have a look and you will see what I mean - I have extensively tested this and Michal has to as per his previous comment, but we cannot figure out why the problem is occurring.

thank you,

Hi Ronnie,

Please you test it with registered account, because if you test with admin user, the admin can do everything and will avoid the Jomsocial setting.

I already tested with my registered user, and the sharebox for is not appear :)

Hi Dimas,

Just for note, I have been doing that, but what turns out is that we were getting confused between the activity stream and the wall.

Additionally, a user played with their preferences so posts and messages initially were set to site members and not Friends only.

OK - this has given me a bit more insight to how it operates so many thanks for taking the time to test.

One last question if you have time, what did you mean by sharebox?

I am marking this as solved.

best regards
Ronnie
