Joomla 2.5.9
Jomsocial 3.1.0.1
RTL Hebrew (so please don't recommend on upgrading to latest version ... we have important fixes to support)
We added customized groups and fields to the jomsocial profile.
Updating the fields and saving changes - red line is on the screen with no data.
No field is updated, basic data is mismatch.

Did you customized template files or core files?
Or simply added new fields in backend?
If fix for your issue (any of them) will be in hot fix released from 3.1.0.1 then we'll not provide you with a separated fix.
Please note: fixes are available for everybody with active subscription.
