JomSocial Expired Socialize Expired

Hi,

Is it possible to set access to all Jomsocial content to Registered users only? I'd like to display links to Events, Photos, etc. but access is denied and you are asked to login or create a profile.

Is this possible?

Thanks,

Eric.

Hi, Eric.

I'm confused... If you said that:

but access is denied and you are asked to login or create a profile.

Then access is already restricted, right?

But ok, if you want to set access to certain pages only for registered users then you just set access in menu for Registered only. In JomSocial case it will not work straight away as menu items don't have own menu item id.

So you need to create one home menu item outside Jomsocial toobar for JomSocial frontpage (it should be main activity stream -> home). And in other menu create menu items that links to main JomSocial pages like: Profile, Friends, Photos, Videos and Events. You can create them in menu called h"hidden" as no menu module should be assigned to that menu. Now just set each link for Registered only and that should do the job.

- Instead of saying: 'it's not working', explain the problem in detail.
- Screenshots with the URL visible in them and the problem marked are more than welcome.
- Tell us how to replicate the problem, we can't fix it if we can't find it.
- Make sure that your site/server meets JomSocial System Requirements
- Make sure to setup JomSocial Cron Job
- Always provide us with access details to the backend and ftp. We need it to debug problems.
- If you have a similar problem, but a solution you found isn't working, open a new thread instead of 'merging' with an existing one.

- Use the "Thank You" feature on any post that helped you
